Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing sustainable HSE procedures; supporting the effective rollout to all departments with continued maintenance to ensure reliability.
- To support the HSE Coordinator in the establishment and management of the Health, Safety and Environmental functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the HSE Coordinator in driving a proactive health, safety and environmental culture

Manage and maintain risk assessments, COSHH compliance, and HSE documentation

Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings across the site

Carry out inspections, audits, and monitoring to ensure compliance and drive improvements

Coordinate waste management, pollution control, and environmental initiatives

Lead or support site HSE committee meetings and develop safety initiatives

Oversee PPE requirements and first aid arrangements

Liaise with Corporate and EMEA teams to ensure consistency in HSE processes

Deputise for the HSE Manager when required

- Requires expanded knowledge and experience in own area; incumbents are still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills
- Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own area of expertise while developing additional skill sets

Requirements and Preferred Skills

2–4 years of experience in an HSE role within manufacturing, engineering, or oil & gas

Proven experience as an internal auditor with hands-on knowledge of HSE management systems, including OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001

Minimum Level 5 HSE qualification (or equivalent) such as NEBOSH, NVQ, or NCRQ

Active member of a relevant professional body such as IOSH, IEMA, or IIRSM
