Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Control and improve the inventory levels required by Gates de Mexico and the customer, ensure 100% customer deliveries, supervise, and approve Gates de Mexico purchases for the benefit of Gates de Mexico.
  • Manage the Materials department, always looking for the benefit of the employee and the Company, purchase materials, equipment, and services in accordance with established regulations and policies.
  • Develops sources of supply, preparing bids or making tenders, plans the entire supply chain process of the plant, plans the production of the plant, as well as the materials to be purchased.
  • Defines the plant's inventory strategy, defines the plant's logistics and service strategy.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all control activities and products in the SOX (Inventory, Purchasing & Payables) matrix are accurate and run continuously on a documented basis.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • 3 to 5 YOE in similar position
  • Engineering, Administration, Accounting, Chemistry, International Trade, or a degree related to the position.
  • Six Sigma (green belt/black belt), Six Sigma Champion, Lean Manufacturing.
  • ERP ORACLE / SAP / SAE JD EDWARDS / VCP
  • MRP I & MRP II
  • APICS CPIM
  • Inventory and warehouse Management knowledge
  • High direction
  • Advanced Excel

  • General knowledge of customer portals (Lison VW System, Super G FORD, Covisint GM and FORD, E-supplier FCA, WebEDI VW).
