Position Summary
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in Plant Atlacomulco you will be Quality Engineer.
Will implement process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques (when required) and will design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Will analyze production process limitations and standards, and work with Technical Services to recommend revision of specifications when indicated. The role assists in formulating quality policies and procedures and will develop the required quality activities. Will have direct interface with the Customer-internal and external-and the plating supplier.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that the customer’s specific requirements are met.
- Participate in the reduction of the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Create and follow up the action that comes from internal, external or customer audits.
- Ensure that preventive and corrective actions are implemented and seek continuous improvement of the manufacturing area).
- Ensure specific customer requirements.
- Participate in reducing poor quality costs generated in manufacturing processes.
- Promoting awareness of customer requirements as well as monitoring internal, external or customer audit processes
- Ensure that preventive and corrective actions are taken in the production process seeking customer satisfaction and continuous improvement in the manufacturing area.
- PPAP submission for new launches and Engineering changes
- Take the leadership and participate in new projects through APQP methodology.
- Coordinate corrective actions with a cross functional team until 8 D"s is fully submitted to the customer and provide evidence.
- Follow up to the safe launch methodology for new launches to make sure we are delivering good parts.
- Follow up to old and new eQINs until closure.
- Manage the Cost of inferior quality and other metrics in the manufacturing area.
- Manager the group of quality auditors to ensure the correct product sampling as part of the quality audit inspection
- Applies broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific practice area.
- Works on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects.
- Designs a complete project, system, component, or process.
- Prepares complete project documents.
- Designs and conducts experiments, and analyzes and interprets data.
- Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Formulates and solves problems.
- Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Leadership experience, developing and driving initiatives.
- Experience preparing and delivering Manufacturing training.
- In charge of at least three people who will report directly to you.

- Acts as a resource for other team members; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements
Requirements and Preferred Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the metal-mechanic industry or assembly and automotive industry.
- Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (Graduate) or Bachelor"s Degree in related discipline
- English advanced
- Core Tools (certification desirable)
- Knowledge in: Core tools, ISO 9001and GD&T (Certificate desirable)
- ISO 9001 (certification desirable)
