Position Summary

As an HSE / CI Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance, safe operations, and responsible environmental management at the plant while promoting a strong health, safety, and continuous improvement culture. This role leads the implementation and maintenance of HSE and Continuous Improvement management systems aligned with ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma best practices to support plant performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Comply with and enforce company policies, procedures, and objectives, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and continuous improvement standards.
  • Ensure compliance with the HSE Policy and applicable environmental, health, and safety legislation.
  • Identify hazards, evaluate risks, and implement effective operational controls.
  • Identify environmental aspects and impacts, implementing actions to minimize environmental footprint.
  • Manage and coordinate HSE and Continuous Improvement Management Systems, including documentation, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Promote a preventive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across the organization.
  • Lead and execute Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, and Six Sigma improvement projects.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze plant KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
  • Develop, update, and ensure compliance with safe and efficient operating procedures.
  • Provide HSE and CI training to both salaried and hourly personnel.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Requirements and Preferred Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field. 
    • 2–4 years of experience in HSE, Continuous Improvement, or related roles in a manufacturing environment. 
    • Knowledge of local and federal HSE and environmental regulations. 
    • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems. 
    • Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, Problem Solving, Core Tools knowledge. 
    • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (preferred). 
    • Experience managing KPIs and performing data analysis. 
    • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
    • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
