Position Summary
Gates Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Director of OneStream Administration, to be based in Rochester Hills, Michigan. In this position, the incumbent will have responsibility for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the OneStream platform, which is used for corporate performance management (CPM). With a user base of approximately 300 associates, their duties include user access management, system configuration, troubleshooting, data integration, and ensuring seamless financial reporting and consolidation processes for both external reporting and management reporting. They will also collaborate with finance and IT teams to implement updates, automate workflows, and enhance system performance. The role will play a critical role in finance transformation initiatives and will implement a continual improvement process within the function. Initially the role will support a new OneStream SAAS implementation assisting with all aspects of the project including design, configuration, testing, training and change management. Future initiatives will include expanding the use of the integrated account reconciliation tool and assessing the use of Integrated AI, Tax and ESG platforms along with other enhancements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The Director of OneStream will manage our financial consolidation and reporting software, and will be responsible for system configuration, troubleshooting, training, onboarding and user support.
- Daily tasks will include processing data loads, running consolidations, monitoring system performance, and implementing configuration changes as requested by finance teams.
- This role will work closely with financial analysts, IT professionals, and end users to ensure seamless reporting and data accuracy.
- The role requires ongoing learning, as the administrator must stay updated with new OneStream features and collaborate on process improvements to meet evolving business needs.
- Will assist with development of financial processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy of data.
- Will serve as a OneStream subject matter expert associated with functionality, content, processes, and procedures.
- Will oversee implementation, architecture, data integration and software customization.
- Assist with the design and implementation of operational and system enhancements to ensure production capabilities are both effective and efficient.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and technology staff on a global basis to ensure that communication is open and ongoing.
- Serve as liaison between technical and functional stakeholders and project management teams to keep initiatives moving forward smoothly and in accordance with project plans.
- Will be critical in defining project scope, project strategy, deliverable priorities, and recommending alternative solutions.
- During the implementation phase, the role will define detailed requirements, analyze business needs, and validate solutions with the external partners and coordinate project activities and collaborate with project team members.
- Establish, administer, and maintain project and knowledge management processes and tools.
- Analyze data, write up source-to-target mapping and read data models.
- Must stay informed with software updates and industry best practices.
- Maintain a SharePoint site to provide regular updates of critical information.
- Provide global oversight with respect to Gates’ OneStream Close Process policies. Drive consistency and adherence to these policies across the organization.
- Maintain a rigorous internal control environment and own several key control activities.
- Direct interaction with external auditors on OneStream internal controls.
- Develop, coach and serve as a mentor and role model to your direct reports and broader finance team members.
- Assist with ad-hoc information requests, analysis, and cross-functional projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Monitors and directs Finance teams worldwide, including corporate HQ, Americas, EMEA and APAC with respect to adherence to OneStream policies and internal controls. One Direct Report that will assist with transition from HFM & Oracle Planning to OneStream and provide support on user access controls, configuration and training initiatives.
Requirements and Preferred Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with advanced degree (MBA, MA) preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive financial accounting and system consolidation experience in HFM or OneStream.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working specifically with OneStream
- The Onestream Administrator needs a solid foundation in financial systems administration, data integration, and troubleshooting, often supported by a degree in information technology, finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience implementing OneStream and integrating newly acquired businesses into OneStream required.
- Must have hands-on experience with administering a CPM tool s for a large multinational entity along with extensive experience implementing related SOX controls.
- Certifications and or prior completion of Administrator Training Programs through OneStream is required.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and attention to detail are standout soft skills for this role. These skills are crucial for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of core financial applications in a collaborative business environment.
- Design and Development Experience with OneStream Business Rules / Stores Procedures / Interfaces
- Experience with OneStream application / reports development
- Experience with design and maintain custom modules like Budgeting / Forecasting in OneStream application architecture
- Experience working with third party vendors to implement SaaS solutions
- "Hands-on" knowledge of project management methodologies
- Financial acumen and awareness of key accounting, financial management and analysis processes, including but not limited to AP, AR, revenue recognition, budgeting, bank management, time and billing estimation.
- Awareness of security and control standards, frameworks, and best practices
- Strong PC skills, including experience using MS Office Products
- Excellent organization skills, and verbal and written communication skills
- CPA or CMA certification is required.
- Strong accounting and internal control skill set.
- Experience driving finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Automotive, commercial and industrial supplier experience within a large global manufacturer preferred.
- Experience with automotive aftermarket industry is beneficial.

- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance.

- Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, coaching and professional skills including ability to interact effectively with senior management as well as less experienced team members.
