Production Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reports directly to Hose Assembly Manager.  

Production Operators are responsible for producing hydraulic hose assemblies in accordance with the production plan, utilising lean manufacturing methodologies as defined under the Gates Production System (GPS) whilst ensuring that all the requirements of the company H&S, Quality and Environmental/Energy Management Systems are fully complied with.

Keys to Success

• A good working knowledge/experience of working within a Production environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English)

• Must be Customer and Quality focused; demonstrating ability to adapt and change
• Promote a positive atmosphere so that the department has a strong team, accept challenges and have a strong commitment and desire to exceed and achieve the stated goals and objectives
• Must have good communication skills and the ability to train others, being able to communicate effectively, enabling other team members to understand and support company goals and objectives
• Must have a flexible attitude/desire to be able to turn their hand to anything, as with the team being very small the duties will be variable and the flexibility of the person is paramount to achieving the goals
