Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the quality team, the Quality Technician is responsible for supporting all areas of the business that impact on product realisation to ensure that processes consistently deliver optimum quality in terms of both product and service.
This will be achieved by ensuring that processes are maintained and improved to ensure the control of incoming components, product integrity while in storage, manufacturing processes and delivery to the customer in line with both internal and external customer expectations.
- Liaise with material and component suppliers in the event of non-conforming product being identified.
- Support operational process owners in the event of non-conforming product or process being identified either internally or at a customer’s site.
In both cases ensuring that:

- Appropriate emergency response / containment action is implemented.
- The root cause is identified and verified.
- Corrective and preventive action is implemented and verified as effective.
- Non-conformance data is entered onto the NCR and/or eQIM databases so that, where possible, failures are traceable to supplier, delivery, shift and production process.
Keys to Success
- Entry-level position with appropriate licenses/training certifications
- Has basic skills in an analytical or technical process
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
Requirements and Preferred Skills
Self-motivated to work without direct day-to-day supervision.
Confident in the use of MS Excel and Word software packages.
Good verbal and written communication skills essential to liaise with other functions, plants, and external contacts.
Good analytical skills required to conduct in-depth investigations using defined problem-solving tools.
Good teamwork skills required to co-ordinate the activities of improvement and corrective action multifunctional teams.
