Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Within their areas of responsibility the primary function of the Shift Leaders is to ensure targets for production output and efficiency are achieved whilst maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees and the quality requirements of our customers.
Keys to Success
Good working knowledge/experience of working within a production environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Supervisory Responsibilities
3+ direct reports
Has formal supervisory responsibilities; sets priorities for and coaches associates to meet deadlines
Uses judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day problems
Impacts the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality, volume, and timelines objectives within their area
Works within departmental objectives and priorities
Requirements and Preferred Skills
Must be Customer and Quality focused; demonstrating ability to adapt and change
Promote a positive atmosphere so that the department has a strong team, accept challenges and have a strong commitment and desire to exceed and achieve the stated goals and objectives
Must have good communication skills and the ability to train others, being able to communicate effectively, enabling other team members to understand and support company goals and objectives
Must have a flexible attitude/desire to be able to turn their hand to anything, as with the team being very small the duties will be variable and the flexibility of the person is paramount to achieving the goals
