What to expect

Join Gates as the Segment Manager for our Off-Highway division, where you'll be responsible for defining and driving strategic growth across the Construction and Agriculture markets. Reporting to the Director Sales, Industrial Highway EMEA, you will lead commercial strategies, deepen customer relationships, and align market plans with our global objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement segment strategy across products, customers, and countries.
  • Lead planning, budgeting, and forecasting for Industrial First Fit.
  • Drive customer acquisition and key account development.
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and customer activity.
  • Coordinate with Product Line Management and technical departments to drive segment innovation.
  • Report on financial performance and lead performance management processes

  • Strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset and results orientation.
  • Skilled in leading cross-functional initiatives and managing change effectively.
  • Deep understanding of industrial markets and OEM dynamics.
  • Able to balance strategic direction with hands-on execution and project delivery

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • 3+ direct reports
  • Manages multiple related teams, typically through manager and/or team lead
  • Manages large team of professionals and or managers
  • Sets organizational priorities and allocates resources; executes department business plans
  • Has team leadership, performance management and people development responsibility to build strong teams

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • Degree in Engineering or Business; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial markets (Construction, Agriculture, or related).
  • Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Fluid Power or Power Transmission systems.
  • High proficiency in CRM tools, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% and work flexibly across time zones
