Application Engineer, Mobility EA&I

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and training to internal and external customers in the proper application and selection of belt drive systems.
• Proficient in relevant design software and practices.
• Support projects or longer term activities by participating as assigned and under a senior engineer’s direction.
• Perform mechanical design of sprocket and drive system components using CAD.
• Manage and/or participate in technical projects or longer term department activities as assigned and with minimal senior engineer direction.
• Act as self-managed Project Manager and successfully lead technical projects or longer term activities as assigned in an independent manner with minimal supervision.
• Explains complex, difficult and/or sensitive information; works to build consensus 
• Capable of trouble shooting applications with customers, on site as needed. May require domestic and international travel for customer support

• Passion and familiarity with bicycles, motorcycles, scooters, ATV and snowmobiles
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, particularly in the preparation of presentations, technical literature and design manuals
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize resources and project timelines.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

• 5-7 years of experience
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with basic competence in CAD such as Solid Works.
