Position Summary

A Warehouse Operator supports our supply chain by handling inbound materials and outbound orders, managing inventory, operating forklifts, and maintaining records in the warehouse management system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operating forklifts to load and unload deliveries in accordance with warehouse procedures safely.
  • Preparing and packaging shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
  • Organizing and placing goods in designated storage areas to maintain order and efficiency in the warehouse.
  • Recording and updating material movements in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for accurate inventory tracking.
  • Conducting regular inventory checks and supporting stock control activities to ensure accuracy of stored materials.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.

Keys to Success

  • Close working relationship with other operators.
  • Daily contact with charge hands, coordinators, quality facilitators, Engineering, and other functional areas.
  • Normal working hours as per the shift pattern.
  • Operators may be moved to a different shift pattern or function at the discretion of management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and the Shift Coordinator.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • Minimum vocational education or equivalent with previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks.
  • Basic reading, math, computer, and measurement skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Flexibility, availability, and readiness to work in a 3-shift system.
  • Forklift license or prior experience operating industrial equipment.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
