THE ROLE

This role is responsible executing manufacturing strategies and actions plans to meet the business objectives like output per hour, per day, TCIR, S&D etc., of the company. together with Local functional leaders (Operations) to achieve overall organization’s objectives. In addition, this role would have to liaise with Multi-discipline team including support functions, to delight our Internal stakeholders.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.

 

The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan, manage daily production output  activities and support the team to achieve the customer demand as per production plan. The role shall carry out tactical activities like multiskilling of existing Operators and support plant performance goals. In addition, it is to support key tasks, including SQDCIE, aligned with Regional vision and aspirations.

 

The assigned territories include Power Transmission businesses in India.

 

Accountability #1: Customer (Internal / External Stakeholders)

  • Achieve the production as per daily/weekly production plan.
  • Ensure the setup approval reports, operator autonomous maintenance check sheet and operator shift log updating on each shift.

 

 

Accountability #2: Process / Performance

  • Closely Monitor the inhouse/customer rejections/complaints and take appropriate actions to avoid the re-occurrence of the same.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to continuously improve the efficiencies and reduce down time.
  • For all new projects he shall conduct feasibility study/trails in the line with system engineering team

 

Accountability #3: People

  • Ensure the operator follows the safety rules in the company.
  • Plan and allocate manpower so that utilization is improved.
  • Need to maintain and improve the 5S standards in his area of work and also in work zones for which he is assigned ownership.
  • Ensure compliance of HSE standards as stated in the policy in his area of work. As a responsible employee of the organization, he has to bring to the attention of the safety committee any unsafe practice/working conditions in the facility.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent reports to Deputy Manager -Production & leads the operators who are working in shifts in his area of working.

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS/ QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  1. Requires a bachelor education in Engineering or Diploma
  2. Must have a minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in Production and preferably in similar product.

REQUIRED SKILLS:  

  • Has detailed knowledge of Production and quality management tools.
  • Sound knowledge of excel as well as Power Point.
  • Good communication levels in English verbal as well as written.
  • Good Planning and Organizing Capabilities.
