Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies. Ensure Product availability to pay the best price for components and RM without sacrificing quality or delivery times. Ensure procuring, storing, and maintaining stock levels as per standards.
- Perform as functional bridge amongst external suppliers as well as internal stakeholders.
- Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing supplier monitoring are being accomplished.
- Ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate supplier performance inclusive of OTD, PPM, quality and service.
- Troubleshooting issues with the Supplier and communicate to management for timely actions.
- Identify improvement areas and implement to continuously enhance efficiencies associated with supplier management.
- Stimulate steady process enhancement to present increasing operational efficiency in entire business partner processes.
- Ensure purchase process including Purchase Order Management, Approvals and communication to suppliers as per laid down guideline and monitor contractual agreements.
- Maintaining Inventory as per targets & Follow-up on material supply based on Daily/weekly production plan and inward.
- Collaborate with QA/SQA/Production for supplier quality and delivery improvements.
- Finding and implementing Cost saving opportunities through VA/VE, alternate sourcing.

- To ensure compliance of HSE standards as stated in the policy in his area of work. As a responsible employee of the organization he has to bring to the attention of the safety committee any unsafe practice/working conditions in the facility, in external warehouses
- Ensuring that the suppliers also have good HSE practices, comply with all statuary requirements and do not employee child labor.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
- No supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance to new associates
Requirements and Preferred Skills
- BE/ BTech (Masters will be preferable) in Engineering
- Must have a minimum of 12 to 15 years’ experience in SCM, Purchasing and Supplier Management.
- Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrates effective time management skill
- Excellent business ethics and integrity.
- Strong Communication skills including Presentation & Negotiation skills
- Strong team player, proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions, builds collaborative relationships.
- Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against commitments.
- Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets
- Resilient, self-motivated and self-directed to be able to work well under pressure as well as come up with insights and ideas.
- Technical knowledge of machining, casting & sheet metal operations & product costing.
