What To Expect
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Columbia, MO plant, you will be an Process Engineer.
As a Process Engineer you will guide activities that develop people, improve customer satisfaction, and implement innovative solutions to problems and/or process issues for manufacturing value streams assigned.
Keys Responsibilities (to name a few)
- Lead scrap reduction initiatives for assigned value streams.
- Drive cost reduction efforts within designated value streams.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned processes within the plant.
- Plan, organize, and present data collection efforts related to defect reduction and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Provide advisory support to the maintenance team, focusing on troubleshooting and diagnostic evaluations of production equipment.
- Collaborate on the development of upgrade plans for existing equipment to enhance performance and reliability.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of work standards, quality control charts, systems, and other operational excellence tools to support plant improvement objectives.
About You
- Bachelor's degree preferred in: Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience with textiles or cord treatment is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive responsibility in problem-solving and facilitating improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement continuous improvement projects through hands-on, floor-level engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of automotive quality systems, such as APQP, PPAP, Gage R&R, Process Capability, and Manufacturing Feasibility Studies.
- Familiarity with quality tools and standards, including Gage R&R, Capability Studies, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), PFMEA, and Process Control Plans (PCP).
- Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and project management methodologies.
