What to Expect

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager based out of the UK ideally, to lead our European growth strategy for high-pressure hose systems serving the oil and gas sector. This is a pivotal role responsible for building our commercial footprint across Europe — establishing a robust distribution network and forging direct relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) operating in upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas.

The successful candidate will bring deep knowledge of the European oil and gas supply chain, a strong network within the sector, and a proven track record of building sustainable revenue through both distribution partnerships and direct B2B sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, appoint, and manage authorized distributors, assemblers, and stockists across key European oil & gas markets.
  • Develop and manage distribution agreements, ensuring alignment on pricing, stocking levels, technical capability, and brand standards.
  • Provide ongoing commercial and technical support to distributors, including training, co‑selling activities, and joint customer visits, while monitoring performance against KPIs.
  • Identify and develop OEM and direct customer accounts within oil & gas equipment manufacturing, building senior‑level relationships across engineering, procurement, and supply chain functions.
  • Lead technical and commercial discussions to position hose and hydraulic product ranges into equipment specifications and approved vendor lists, and negotiate contracts in line with revenue and margin targets.
  • Develop and execute the European business development strategy, including market analysis, pipeline management, forecasting, and territory expansion.
  • Represent the company at key European trade shows and industry events and provide regular reporting and market intelligence to senior management.
  • Work cross‑functionally with internal teams to ensure effective product qualification, order fulfilment, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • 8–10 years of  experience in Business Development and Sales, ideally within Oil & Gas equipment or manufacturing.
  • Degree in Business, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong track record in prospecting, pipeline management, and key account development.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and value‑based selling skills.
  • Experience working with distributors, OEMs, and senior stakeholders.
  • Familiar with CRM and ERP systems; strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge of API standards, third‑party approvals, logistics, and Incoterms is an advantage.
  • Professional fluency in English; additional languages beneficial.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to Travel Internationally
