As a Power BI | Fabric Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design and development of BI solutions and the overall success of our BI program. This role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft’s unified data platform, including Power BI and Fabric components such as Synapse, Data Factory, and OneLake. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders at all levels, from data engineers and data scientists to analysts and business users, driving adoption of BI solutions through development, mentoring, and training.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end data solutions for analytics and reporting.
  • Provide technical leadership on Fabric capabilities and architecture.
  • Define and promote best practices, standards, and governance within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
  • Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of Fabric components.
  • Connect, transform, and model data from diverse sources.
  • Develop and manage DAX queries, measures, and calculated columns.
  • Collaborate with business users, data engineers, and analysts to gather and translate requirements.
  • Train regional and global users in stewarding the adoption of BI solutions.
  • Conduct peer code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Fabric updates and industry best practices.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience developing BI solutions with a minimum of 4 years architecting BI solutions, with most recent experience should be with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience with Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform (ex. Power BI, Fabric, Azure Databricks, Purview).
  • Advanced skills with DAX and Power Query.
  • Experience with RDMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Teradata.
  • Advanced SQL skills and using them for data analysis.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to create user-friendly, visually compelling reports and dashboards.
  • Proven ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Excited to work in the office with great teammates.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud data lake solutions (Fabric Onelake, Databricks, Snowflake).
  • Background working in manufacturing environments and architecting solutions for them.
  • Azure Certifications such as DP-600 and DP-700.

Pay & Benefits

  • Full-Time
  • Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000
  • Bonus Eligible
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
