Analyst Vendor Development

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This role is responsible for close tracking and ensuring timely development of new components, processes at suppliers and coordinating with a cross-functional team to fulfil all support activities & make sure flawless launches with suppliers.  

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.

• Development of child parts
• Detailed knowledge of all PPAP documentation. PPAP documentation preparation/review with vendors and co-ordinate for PPAP clearance with QA for new parts.
• Co-ordinate with Quality for part clearance. (PPAP/PROTO)
• Follow-up for development timeline (Release of drawing/regular visit at vendor/meet development timeline)
• Knowledge of Part Layout inspection
• Cost saving initiatives
• ZBC and Cost comparison from 2-3 vendors for price / supplier approval.
• New vendor selection and approval with SQA.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• College/university degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Engineering/Technical. 
• Experience in Vendor Development function with medium/large company (MNC preferred)
• 2 to 4 years Industrial experience with working knowledge of manufacturing process, SQA, vendor development, or equivalent

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

• Knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, insert etc.
• Good communication skills.
