WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Greenville, SC plant, you will be a Planner.
The Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules that support on-time delivery and inventory objectives. This role ensures accurate and up-to-date planning data within ERP systems, proactively identifying and resolving scheduling constraints to maintain workflow continuity and support operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities (to name a few):
- Dispatch work to gateway resources through MRP, including sorting, releasing, and analyzing material availability to ensure production has a continuous work queue; collaborate with shop supervisors/lead personnel to maintain balanced workloads
- Create and maintain production schedules to meet service level expectations and inventory targets
- Maintain planning data and relevant information for assigned items within ERP systems
- Resolve schedule adherence and product quality issues by coordinating with appropriate internal teams
- Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to release manual priority orders
- Partner with Engineering to implement changes to BOMs and manufacturing lead times as needed
- Coordinate with Purchasing to address material shortages and plan workload effectively
- Perform daily and monthly clerical inventory transactions and maintenance
- Analyze forecasted demand to support production planning
ABOUT YOU
- 2-4 years experience in related field
- Solid understanding of shop processes and customer requirements
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms
- Basic proficiency in Excel
- Foundational knowledge of inventory management and record accuracy
- Strong analytical skills with sound judgment and intuitive problem-solving
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and an effective communicator
- Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
