Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for generating profitable new and replacement business within the IRFP segment of the company. The role involves proactive management of the existing product portfolio while building and nurturing contacts with potential clients to create new business opportunities. Working in close collaboration with Customer service, Product development and application engineering team the Business Development Manager will develop strong relationships with existing clients, identify new business avenues, and drive sustained revenue growth within the industrial sector.

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and distributors to maximize customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with key accounts and target industries to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Build and nurture strong working relationships with partners and business enablers to support growth initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Develop tailored sales strategies and proposals to address the unique requirements of key accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with product development, operations, Application Engineers and marketing teams to align product offerings with client needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Lead contract negotiations, prepare proposals, and finalize agreements with key accounts ensuring profitable and sustainable business partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, promptly resolving issues and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and provide regular progress updates to senior management regarding account status and business development activities.
  • Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand professional networks and promote company capabilities

Supervisory Responsibilities

The incumbent reports to National Sales Manager, IRFP, and support him in all day-to-day operations to achieve the business objectives of the company. This is a people manager role.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Engineering Graduate with master’s will be preferred
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in Industrial aftermarket with New Business Development role
