Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accountable for direct and indirect Material sourcing, Vendor Development, cost outs and localization for Gates India Businesses. As a part of India Leadership team, develop and drive India growth Strategy collaborating with all cross functional and regional / Global teams.
Accountable for the optimization of cost of supply within India for all Commodities (Metals, Logistics, Direct & Indirect). Lead the development of sourcing strategies to ensure sufficient supply capacity, optimize total cost, minimize risk, and the development of Localisation Project.
Responsible for achieving and minimizing price variance forecast (PPV) as per the financial plan and producing. Maintaining material pricing in ERP(s) for respective India.
Accountable to align with operations leader and S&OP leader to understand priorities and demand on the supply base. Ensure adequate supply base capacity to support production requirements.
- Strengthening regular engagement with supplier’s partners
- Full accountability for all Commercial & Projects.

- Ability to Drive overall sourcing by FP & PT Spend Lead individually.
- Managed around $100MN Spend in a Year.
- Ability to staff and develop an effective team. Create alignment so the organization understands the strategy and how individual contribution furthers organizational success.
- High level interpersonal and leadership skills; must be able to establish partnerships to influence and coach across multiple levels within the company.
- Broad supply chain experience
- Demonstrated global business and financial acumen.
- Takes the initiative to identify and exploit opportunities; willing to take independent actions and calculated risks
- Works well under pressure, effectively handles conflict and demonstrates flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and fixed deadlines
- Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements, while keeping the needs of the business in the forefront
- Excellent verbal and written communication across functions, and levels; fluent in English
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and MRP/supply chain systems
- Experience in a manufacturing company

Requirements and Preferred Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
- B.Tech / B.E (Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or Science), MBA preferred.
- 15 - 20 years of relevant progressive experience.
- Preferred: CPSM (ISM) or CSCP (APICS) certification.
