WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Hebron,KY plant, you will be a Continuous Improvement Manager.
As a CI Manager, you’ll lead Lean and Six Sigma projects that drive efficiency, reduce defects, and improve key performance metrics across our distribution operations. Working closely with leadership, engineers, and cross-functional teams, you’ll play a vital role in making our processes safer, faster, and more effective. This role also includes guiding project teams, managing capital planning and budgets, and delivering sustainable improvements that strengthen our competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities (to name a few):
- Support and champion continuous improvement by collaborating with engineering teams on Lean Six Sigma projects, maintaining documentation, and driving progress through the Gates Production System (GPS).
- Partner with leadership to develop clear performance metrics and track progress across distribution operations.
- Lead efforts to improve safety, quality, and productivity by facilitating root-cause analysis and implementing lasting solutions.
- Maximize the use of space and equipment by helping design layouts that meet evolving production needs.
- Coordinate and manage projects that enhance processes, improve customer satisfaction, and drive long-term success.
- Assess current production capacity, identify opportunities for improvement, and help move the business toward its long-term goals.
- Investigate and resolve recurring operational issues and equipment downtime to ensure smooth operations.
- Mentor and coach team members, helping them grow while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Work with leadership and engineering partners to create innovative solutions that deliver both immediate improvements and sustainable long-term results.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution or fulfillment operations.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data analysis using SQL and/or Power BI.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including Process Flows, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA/GRR, SPC, Process Capability Analysis, PPAP, and APQP.
- Proven project management skills with success in leading cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of cost accounting principles.
- Solid background in TPM, mistake-proofing, root cause analysis (Fishbone, 5 Whys), and process/equipment troubleshooting.
- Proven experience successfully managing and executing high-value capital and Operational Excellence projects on time and within budget.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
