WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Hebron, KY plant, you will be a Human Resource Manager.
In this position the Human Resources Manager oversees all aspects of HR operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with employment laws. This role is responsible for employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The HR Manager partners with management to develop and implement policies that enhance employee engagement, retention, and productivity. Additional duties include maintaining HR records, handling conflict resolution, and driving continuous improvement in HR processes to support business success.
Key responsibilities (to name a few):
- Partner with Plant and Distribution Center Managers to align HR goals with facility objectives and develop workforce planning strategies.
- Oversee all HR functions, including onboarding, compensation, benefits administration, training and development, records management, employee relations, retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.
- Lead HR operations providing guidance on recruiting, coaching, performance management, compensation, employee engagement, conflict resolution, and organizational change.
- Provide HR support to other Gates locations on an as needed basis.
- Collaborate with Plant and Distribution Center Managers to develop and execute HR strategies that support operational effectiveness.
- Serve as a strategic HR advisor to both management and employees, addressing concerns and directing them to appropriate resources.
- Ensure clear communication of job requirements and priorities and evaluate HR options to support business goals.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure standardized and consistent implementation of corporate HR initiatives.
- Manage local HR initiatives to carry out both facility-specific and company-wide HR activities in alignment with strategic objectives.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree – HR concentration preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with expertise in Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Spanish bilingual skills preferred
- PHR/SPHR or related HR certification is a plus
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR disciplines, including staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, and compliance with HR laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as Oracle
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Fit Office, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
