Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acting as a Business Partner to the region's President, VP's, and Directors of Sales and Pricing to generate demand, extract value from pricing and rebates, and execute sales plans across short-, mid-, and long-term perspectives.
  • Supporting the above-mentioned business partners in their communication with Gates' headquarters executive management.
  • Working together with Sales to support product and customer profitability analysis, primarily up to standard gross margin but not limited to it.
  • Owning the gross-to-net sales controlling, including pricing and various rebate and discount typologies, to ensure optimal decision-making, accounting accuracy, and reliable forecasting.
  • Implementing consistent credit policies and executing them in alignment with corporate guidelines while maintaining customer relationships in collaboration with the order-to-cash team in the shared services center.
  • Supporting the FP&A Director EMEA and other regional finance team members in business planning and month-end consolidation activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX controls related to gross-to-net sales.
  • Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by department objectives
  • Communicates complex concepts; anticipates potential objections and influences others to adopt a different point of view

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • 8-10 years of overall experience 
  • A Master's/MBA degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 5-8 years of controlling experience in an international company with a proven background in business partnering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and leadership skills to influence and coach across multiple levels and establish global partnerships.
  • Solid business acumen, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail under pressure.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting concepts, financial modeling, MS Excel, and analytical skills; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • Fluency in English, with additional European languages considered advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, people leadership, and interacting with executive management in multinational settings.
