Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, follow-up and development of the sales actions and activities to existing and prospective customers in the designed area of responsibility: Turkey
  • Responsible for the achievement of sales goals and assuring market penetration for Gates Power Transmission Products
  • Manages account receivables and improve cash collection process with customers
  • Responsible for all aspects of jobbers and distributor follow-up and for all administrative related activities. 
  • Must have a good knowledge of market and competition.
  • Understand and analyze the customer needs, increase the market share with new product development strategies and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Builds specific market opportunities and penetration knowledge through business contacts.
  • Responsible for maintaining good commercial relations with Gates customers/prospects and providing them all commercial information to help them in order to achieve sales budgets.

  • You will be responsible for selling Gates' products in a geographical area. Research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner to determine market strategies and goals for each product and service. Take responsibility for and making every effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problems. Implement strategies to accelerate growth of new and additional products and/or new markets. Monitor competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition. Has primary accountability for the performance and revenue results in a geographical area and additional accountability for strategic initiatives; manages established accounts in a specified geographic area.

  • Reports directly to Regional Sales Manager Turkey

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • Requires commerical degree with 5-7 years of experience in the same type of function. 
  • product knowledge, discretion, personality, organisational skills, motivation, market knowledge, the ability to solve problems and to communicate on every level are indispensable in order to do this job properly. 
  • Good reporting skills and knowledge of PC basic programs required. 
  • B type valid driving license
  • Good command of English & Turkish 
  • Travel: frequent travel to visit customers and organise joint visits to the end users.
