Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support sales growth by proactively visiting end customers and Machine Original Equipment Manufacturers (MOEMs) across Turkey.
  • Identify and generate new project opportunities primarily for the Power Transmission (PT) product line, while also supporting opportunities in the Fluid Power (FP) segment through direct factory and machinery manufacturer visits.
  • Collect and report detailed market and competitor insights to inform sales strategy and distributor support. 
  • Serve as a key liaison to assist primarily Power Transmission distributors, with support for Fluid Power distributors, by facilitating connections and promoting business development opportunities.
  • This position is not directly responsible for closing sales but focuses on opportunity generation and market intelligence gathering to support sales teams.
  • Primarily focused on market and project development activities rather than direct sales.
  • Coordinates closely with Power Transmission distributor networks as a priority and provides support to Fluid Power distributor networks to align efforts and share market insights. 
  • Conducts regular visits to MOEMs and end customers to build relationships and identify potential business leads.

  • You will be responsible for selling Gates' products in a geographical area. Research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner to determine market strategies and goals for each product and service. Take responsibility for and making every effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problems. Implement strategies to accelerate growth of new and additional products and/or new markets. Monitor competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition. Has primary accountability for the performance and revenue results in a geographical area and additional accountability for strategic initiatives; manages established accounts in a specified geographic area.

  • Reports directly to Regional Sales Manager Turkey

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in the same type of function.  
  • Requires technical or commercial degree 
  • Diplomatic and customer-focused, capable of building trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Methodical and detail-oriented while maintaining a broad view of market opportunities.
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, and proactive with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Frequent travel within Turkey to end customer and primary producers' locations.
  • Required Location: Izmir, Istanbul, Ankara or Bursa.
  • Good command of English and Turkish. 
  • B type valid driving license
