Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan, manage preventive and predictive maintenance of machines according to specified schedules, adhering to maintenance excellence objectives, and following LOTO procedures activities to support efforts to achieve organizational objective.
The assigned territories include Fluid Power plant in Lalru India. The specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas:
Accountability #1: Customer (Internal / External Stakeholders)
- Working with the team on the objectives to achieve Maintenance Excellence.
- Recognizes and corrects potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions and communicates this to the Maintenance Manager.
- Support in execution of projects in progress.
- Improvements to be implemented in line to reduce power consumption to meet Gates Global Target.
- Follow LOTO procedures during maintenance activities.
- Support to GPS and continuous improvement projects.
- Drive & Support Energy savings projects.
Accountability #2: Process / Performance
- Attend Daily Breakdown Calls.
- Performs preventative maintenance and repair work on machinery, equipment, tools, and other items used in manufacturing processes per defined interval/schedule in a timely manner and document maintenance concerns/resolutions; providing action plans and status reports as needed.
- Identifying & eliminating all waste in the process with focus on Lean principles and provide documented evidence on the improvement achieved in terms of savings.
- Stopping any process which deviates from the standards and taking immediate corrective & preventive measures to restore to normal condition.
Accountability #3: People
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements, EMS & OSHAS.
- Participating in small group activities to drive continuous improvements & use QC tools to identify & eliminate the root cause of maintenance problems.
- Supporting the best practice coordinates on implementing and maintaining the best practices across the process stations.
- IATF 16949:2016 & ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 Standards document support Work.

Supervisory Responsibilities
The incumbent reports to the Manager Maintenance and support him in all day-to-day operations to achieve the business objectives of the company.
Requirements and Preferred Skills
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Requires a Bachelor Education in Electrical or Electronics Engineering/Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Electrical & Maintenance in similar industries.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings but not limited to mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic blueprints
- Knowledge of how mechanical systems and equipment work
- Sound knowledge of MS word, excel as well as Power Point.
- Good communication levels in English verbal as well as written.
