POSITION SUMMARY:

We are searching for Analyst – D&L who possesses the Material planning and Production planning skills to operate effectively in a matrix environment and have confidence in driving aggressive growth plans. The person should have a consultative and collaborative style, proven track record / achievement. THE ROLE

This role is responsible for continuous improvement, Knowledge of product range, Knowledge of Excise /Customs Rules, Strategic Thinking, Excellent Analytical Skills, Developmental orientation, Proficiency in Computers (MS Office), Commercial Negotiations and actions plans to analyzing and negotiate offers to assure best cost together with Local functional leaders (i.e. Innovation, Operations, Finance, HR, IT and Supply Chain) to achieve overall organization’s objectives. In addition, this role would have to liaise with Multi-discipline team including support functions, to delight our Internal and External stakeholders.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.

The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan, manage logistics activities to support efforts to achieve the logistics outcomes. The role shall carry out tactical activities for project timing plan & milestones and drive suppliers for compliance.

 

The assigned territories include Fluid Power businesses in India. The specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas:

 

Maximum 3 pointers per accountability

Accountability #1: Customer (Internal / External Stakeholders)

  • Develop and maintain strong & long-term relationships with local suppliers and contractors.
  • Oversee end-to-end FG warehouse operations, including FG inward, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Ensure seamless execution of all warehouse activities with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Drive implementation and adherence to standardized warehouse processes and best practices.
  • Troubleshooting issues with the Supplier and communicating to management for timely actions. It be responsible for identifying the training needs of his team;

 

Accountability #2: Process / Performance

 

  • Monitor and achieve key performance metrics such as:
  • Picking and packing efficiency
  • Inventory accuracy
  • Adherence to cycle count plans
  • FIFO (First-In-First-Out) compliance
  • Plan and execute export dispatches as per the indents received and ensure compliance with post shipment documentation formalities.
  • Timely clearance of all Import consignments.

 

Accountability #3: People

  • Ensure strict discipline in FIFO practices to minimize obsolescence and improve stock rotation.
  • Sustain and continuously improve warehouse 5S standards for a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance overall warehouse performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role are to support production team in Inventory and issuance of RM and Spares and implement the required action plan, manage store activities to support efforts to achieve on time availability of materials.

The Assistant Manager store's specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas:

Maximum 3 pointers per accountability

Accountability #1: Customer (Internal / External Stakeholders)

  • Daily operation review.
  • Executing inventory counts for RM, Consumables and Mill room semifinished compound.
  • Timely order execution
  • Maintain protocols for receiving, storing, and disbursing inventory item.
  • Supervise the inventory management process, ensuring accurate recording of stock transactions.
  • Conduct regular audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete items and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory.
  • Implement measures to prevent shrinkage and loss, such as theft, damage, or expiration.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and receiving teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Communicate inventory needs based on sales forecasts and upcoming projections.

 

Accountability #2: Process / Performance

  • Coordinate with floor team for a timely production supply.
  • Root cause analysis and implementing corrective action for and process Gaps.
  • Review and reorder consumables. Review RM expiry and follow up with cross functional team closure.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage methods to maximize space utilization.
  • Coordinate with Buyers to ensure adequate inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Conduct investigations into inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor store staff on inventory management best practices and procedures
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure compliance with inventory control policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory control.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.

 

Accountability #3: People

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline inventory management workflows.
  • Monitor and tracking of RGP & NRGP.
  • Work towards zero defect delivery from Warehouse to Customer and achieve no complaints from Customer.
  • Handling customer complaints related to stores, logistics & transportation.
  • Circulating daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Reviewing stores and logistics performance.
  • All statutory audit compliance and proper documentation.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The incumbent reports to Manager-Store & operate in individual contributor capacity.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

This person must have at least 5 years' hands-on experience of store in similar type of industry. 

 

  • Diploma in Engineering/Material Science or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in similar types of industries. 
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.
  • Document controlling, good knowledge of MS Office & ERP Oracle/SAP.

This person must have at least 5-7 years hands on experience in SCM, Purchasing and Supplier Management  in the assigned countries or region.
