POSITION SUMMARY:

We are searching for a Sr. Analyst – Exim who possesses the knowledge of Import & Export activities and leadership skills to operate effectively in a matrix environment and have confidence in driving aggressive growth plans. The person should have a consultative and collaborative style, proven track record / achievement. THE ROLE

This role is responsible for Import of Materials from Supplier and Co-coordinating with custom house agent for forwarding / tracking / obtaining clearances of all documents from customs also work with Local functional leaders (i.e. Innovation, Operations, Finance, HR, IT and Supply Chain) to achieve overall organization’s objectives. In addition, this role would have to liaise with multi-discipline team including support functions, to delight our Internal and External stakeholders.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.

The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan for Import & Export activities dealing with customs and clearing agents.

 

The assigned territories include Fluid Power businesses in India. The specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas:

 

Maximum 3 pointers per accountability

Accountability #1: Customer (Internal / External Stakeholders)

  • All Imports activities include liaison with various Govt. departments for having advantage of various duty exemption schemes such as Advance license/ Duty Draw back etc.
  • Exposure to exports.
  • Responsible for processing/follow-ups of orders, releasing delivery schedules, monitoring receipt and preparing MIS.

 

Accountability #2: Process / Performance

  • Follow-ups with various agencies i.e. Suppliers, Transporters, Shipping lines, CHA etc.
  • Co-ordinate with stores for replenishment of store items on regular basis with effective inventory management tools.
  • Co-ordinate and follow-up with internal customers i.e. Store/Production/Maintenance etc.

 

Accountability #3: People

 

  • Co-coordinating with planning team to place orders for identified parts after obtaining necessary quotes & finalization and subsequently gets order confirmation from overseas vendors.
  • Interact with Vendors to get necessary documents for movement of the Consignments
  • Floating enquiries, obtaining quotes & finalization of Freight forwarders for movement of consignments from vendors

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • 5-7 years of experience

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent reports Sr. Manager Exim & operate with team of 3-4 contributors.

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS/ QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

This person must have at least 10-15 years’ hands on experience in SCM, Purchasing and Supplier Management  in the assigned countries or region.

 

 

  • Postgraduate/Graduate in Management.
  • 10-15 years of related work experience.

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

 

  • Knowledge of Import & Export procedure regarding International Trade, Shipping related, Indian customs, DGFT, Foreign Exchange, SVB, MEIS, Rodtep, Advance license & Letter of Credit. Document controlling & Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good Planning and Organizing Capabilities.

  • Effective Time and Resource Management Skills.

  • Excellent communication in English, Hindi & Tamil–Written & Spoken

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to domestic travel at supplier end.
