What to Expect
Located in Legnica, we proudly operate the largest Gates facility in Europe and the second largest worldwide. Our site comprises three key operations: belt production, hose manufacturing, and a distribution center. Altogether, we employ over 1,200 people, making us one of the region’s most significant employers.
As part of our team, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations in line with Polish regulations and internal policies. This role plays a key part in delivering smooth and timely payroll processes, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting employees in all payroll-related matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and process payroll calculations for employees (employment contracts and civil law agreements), including all salary components
- Ensure accurate processing of absences, benefits, and other payroll-related elements
- Manage employee benefits (sports card, private medical care, insurance)
- Coordinate payroll data inputs, including working time, absences, and bonuses, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, including accounting postings (PK), payroll summaries, vacation accruals, and SOX-related reports
- Handle settlements with external authorities (ZUS, US, PFRON) in compliance with legal requirements
- Prepare statutory reports and declarations, including submissions to GUS
- Provide ongoing support to employees by issuing certificates, explaining payslips, and resolving payroll-related inquiries
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations

- Works with a moderate level of supervision while taking ownership of assigned tasks
- Applies knowledge of payroll regulations and company policies to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Maintains high attention to detail and data quality in all activities
- Communicates clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders and employees

Requirements and Preferred Skills

2–4 years of experience in a similar payroll position

Fluent Polish and English B1–B2

Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel

Practical experience with payroll systems (e.g., TETA HR, PŁATNIK)

Higher education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is an advantage

Good knowledge of Polish labor law, social security, and tax regulations
