Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As part of a full-time permanent contract, you will be hired as a Maintenance Electrician at the Gates site in Nevers, where you will play a key role in carrying out maintenance work on industrial production equipment.

With nearly 30 years of existence, our Nevers site specializes in the production of belts (rubber industry). The majority of our production is intended for the automotive aftermarket, as well as the industrial and agricultural sectors.

 

Key responsibilities (in addition to those mentioned above):

 

- Perform corrective maintenance on equipment: analyze breakdowns or abnormal operating conditions, methodically resolve issues, intervene on equipment, machines, parts, and tools, and carry out checks after intervention

- Contribute to the management of technical documentation: update plans and diagrams, and write intervention reports summarizing the actions taken, faults detected, and solutions implemented

Requirements and Preferred Skills

- Technical diploma (equivalent to high school level/BAC) or technician-level qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, or automation

- Proven experience in an industrial environment, ideally in maintenance or production support

- Strong electrical knowledge is essential, including proficiency with PLCs such as RS500, RS5000, Studio5000, and virtual Windows-based environments, familiarity with ladder logic and sequential programming languages, experience with variable speed drives and motion control systems (Leroy Somer, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Parvex DC drives – particularly for X and Y spindle axes)

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Solid understanding and adherence to maintenance intervention standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures

- Valid electrical certifications/authorizations (as required by regulations)

- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset, essential for effective collaboration with production operators

- Depending on the candidate's profile, the company is willing to provide necessary training for the position
