Operator - Quality

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan, manage ensuring the Quality of all in process materials which includes Inhouse Quality Improvement, Inhouse Audits, and overall management of laboratory. activities to support efforts to achieve ,maintaining of daily production activity in logbook and good communication with supervisor and manager. The role shall carry out tactical activities to to interact and agree on Gates / customer quality standards, work with gates team for improvement in the gates quality. In addition, it is to support key tasks, including operational task aligned with Regional vision and aspirations.

The assigned territories include Fluid Power businesses in India. The specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas: 

Maximum 3 pointers per accountability

Accountability #1: Customer (Internal / External Stakeholders)

• To interact and agree on Gates / customer quality standards, work with gates team for improvement in the gates quality.

• Working with peer groups in root cause analysis and instituting corrective and preventive action.

• Follow up of SOP 100% with the people during production to control the process.

Accountability #2: Process / Performance

• Responsible for upholding shop floor tidiness, implementing 5S practices, and ensuring safety within their operational zones
• Keeping records of production output, machine setup approval, SPC sheets & daily machine check sheets.
• Entrusted with the upkeep of all documentation relevant to their operational zones.

Accountability #3: People

• Coordinating with the supplier and the supervisor to achieve the organizational objective.

• Responsible for the inhouse quality inspection with the supplier.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The incumbent reports to senior manager - manufacturing & operate in individual contributor capacity.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

This person must have at least 2 years hands on experience in Quality assurance functions, Laboratory/Incoming quality management/ Material testing..

• Minimum  2 years, proven track record in Quality assurance functions, Laboratory/Incoming quality management/ Material testing.
• Diploma / ITI in Engineering. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:    

• Good analytical and technical judgement skills, Laboratory Management, Awareness of national and international standards. 
• Material testing, knowledge of statistics in laboratory.
• Problem solving method, Calibration, SPC, MSA, FMEA.
• Knowledge of Quality System requirements ISO 9001 standards.
