A Process Engineer is responsible for developing, configuring, and optimizing industrial processes from inception through to start-up and certification.
Keys Responsibilities (to name a few)
- Optimize existing machine throughput.
- Support and design set-up parameters.
- Troubleshoot and solve process problems.
- Successfully introduce and support the use of new products into production.
- Support and facilitate facility and manufacturing safety, environmental and ergonomics efforts.
- Assist and design changes to the product or process to increase productivity and improve product quality.
- Create standard work instructions.
- Provide technical leadership with hands on approach to manufacturing process.
- Facilitate implementation, integration and acceptance of process controls.
- Design new products/processes and next generation equipment
- Lead Continuous Improvement Teams
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
- Assigns tasks to and coordinates work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.
- Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies
Requirements and Preferred Skills
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or strongly related field and 3 years relevant experience
- Sig Sigma Green or Black Belt strongly desired
- 8 years of experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree
