ABOUT THE JOB
- The Quality Inspector will spend most of their day reading technical drawings and specifications, and use standard metrology devices such as digital calipers and micrometers
- Perform audits of the manufacturing and quality control processes to ensure compliance of our operations, and assist in the correction of nonconformity found
- Inspect products as assigned, utilizing proper inspection equipment
- Assist in containment activity completion or audit as assigned
- Complete administrative work associated with documentation of issues and their corrective actions
- Communicate quality issues and out of specifications conditions to appropriate personnel and with shift leaders.
- 2nd Shift - 3:00pm - 11:30pm, possibly 1st 7:00am-3:30pm
ABOUT YOU
- Quality experience preferred
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, with one or more years involved with inspection
- Ability to read and interpret basic product drawings in English
- Experience standard metrology devices such as digital calipers and micrometers
- Must be able to effectively understand and communicate process/product requirements and have the ability to interface with all departments
- Must have drive, intelligence, and high expectations of getting results through self and team
- Must be proficient with common PC applications: Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week, plus overtime, with reliable and consistent attendance
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Must have good communication skills, with the ability to carry out written and verbal instruction
- Basic reading, math, computer, and measurement skills required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship
