Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for selling Gates' products in a geographical area. Research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner to determine market strategies and goals for each product and service. Take responsibility for and making every effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problems. Implement strategies to accelerate growth of new and additional products and/or new markets. Monitor competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition. Has primary accountability for the performance and revenue results in a geographical area and additional accountability for strategic initiatives; manages established accounts in a specified geographic area.
  • The assigned territories include Power Transmission - Automotive first fit and replacement businesses in Thailand. This individual is expected to accelerate the existing business.

  • The Sales Manager, Automotive Replacement, Thailand's specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas: 

Accountability #1: Customer (Internal / External Stakeholders)

  • Execute the strategy to grow share of wallet for targeted accounts 
  • Leverage on application expertise for direct selling to key stakeholders and influencers 
  • Build and sustain relationships up to and including key C-level executives for key customers 

Accountability #2: Process / Performance

  • Execute robust sales strategies by segment via in-depth understanding of market trends and competitive landscape
  • Lead account planning activities and support sales engagements
  • Develop channel coverage by market segment and support countries to develop right partners
  • Implement direct channel sales and marketing skills and competencies metrics 
  • Execute standard enterprise selling process, opportunities and pipelines management 

Accountability #3: People

  • Provide guidance and coaching to improve sales teams' effectiveness 
  • Support Talent acquisition, assessment, development, retention and succession planning 
  • Provide a safe work environment and lead by example to advocate our CORE values and culture

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or above. Preferred Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering background
  • Minimum  6 years, proven track record in enterprise sales and/or business development
  • Expertise in both Automotive Aftermarket and OEM
  • Solid sales planning with sound commercial acumen
  • Key account sales planning and sales engagement 
  • Previous major account selling experience and distributor development, channel management are required
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal
  • Good communicable in English, Japanese speaking is a plus
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills
