Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manages sales and relationships across a defined geographic area and across multiple major/strategic account or customers. Maintains current business and expands relationships to seek new revenues.

Meet or exceed sales budgets and operate within expense guidelines. Uses consultative selling approach and can properly design, recommend, and apply products to meet customer needs.

Identifies and develops optimal revenue models, sales/distribution channels, pricing, and new product development strategies. Identifies and negotiates strategic partnerships including financial arrangements and customer sharing.

Our sales representatives collaborate to communicate the key value propositions of Gates solutions to the many industries we serve. From market analysis and segmentation to pricing and channel management, our sales team bring our brand promise to life. Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • 8 - 10 Years of Sales Experience or equivalent industry experience. 
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise
  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • Solves complex problems.
  • Progression to this level is restricted on the basis of business requirements.
  • Analytical thinking, tools and  judgment to identify innovative solutions
  • Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives.
  • Anticipates potential objections and influences others to adopt a different point of view.
  • Must be a self-starter who is motivated to plan and manage customer needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Effective territory management.
  • Effective use of pre-call planning techniques.
  • A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technology trends and how they would apply to real world projects.
  • Ability to communicate openly, honestly and constructively and treat all customers with dignity and respect.
  • Able to meet performance expectations working remotely with little supervision.
  • Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to make decisions within established guidelines, policies and budgets

Supervisory Responsibilities

Functions as a people manager with supervisory responsibilities.

Most lead teams and projects with high risk, and/or complexity. 

Physical Requirements

Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves objects weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally over 50 pounds.

Frequently bends, stoops, climbs ladders and crouches on a regular basis.

Ability to drive long distances for extended periods of time.

Travel required for this position is 50% - 70%.
