Position Summary

The Regional Product Line Manager (RPLM) is responsible for enabling profitable growth of the Automotive Fluid Power product line across Mexico and the Americas region. This role integrates market intelligence, pricing, portfolio management, and new product development to drive revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction. The RPLM works cross-functionally with Global PLM, Commercial, Operations, and Engineering teams to execute product strategies aligned to Gates business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of regional automotive and engine hose markets, including VIO  (Vehicles in Operation), trends, and competitive landscape.

• Drive product line strategy execution, aligning with global roadmap and regional commercial plans.

• Manage full product lifecycle including new product introductions, obsolescence, and catalog optimization.

• Lead pricing strategy and margin management aligned with SGM targets.

• Drive new product introduction and adoption, tracking KPI performance vs targets.

• Conduct competitive benchmarking, portfolio gap analysis, and market opportunity identification.

• Support sales with technical, commercial, and catalog tools to drive revenue growth.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, and commercial teams for demand and supply alignment.

• Lead strategic programs (80/20, catalog optimization, key account integrations).

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • English Professional Proficiency
  • Revenue growth and market share expansion for assigned product lines.
  • EBITDA margin improvement (100–200 bps annually).
  • Price realization and SGM compliance.
  • New product vitality (% sales from new products).
  • Portfolio coverage improvement vs competitors.
  • Inventory turns and product rationalization impact (80/20).
  • Customer satisfaction and OEM scorecard performance.
