Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze international transportation data (ocean, air, and ground) to identify cost savings, transit time trends, and service level opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track KPIs such as carrier performance, on-time delivery and freight spend.
  • Support annual freight tenders by aggregating and evaluating carrier proposals and modeling rate scenarios.
  • Reconcile freight invoices and accruals to ensure accuracy in billing and financial reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring and forecasting global freight costs, including fuel surcharges, GRI/PSS, and currency impacts.
  • Partner with freight forwarders and steamship lines to resolve discrepancies in shipment tracking, documentation, and rates.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for leadership and internal teams including finance, procurement, and compliance.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related supply chain experience.
  • 5–7 years of experience in international transportation, logistics, or supply chain analytics.
  • Fluent in English
  • Basic understanding of ocean and air freight operations and incoterms
  • Proficient in data analysis, database management, and reporting tools (Excel, Access, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally and with external partners.
  • Self-starter that can work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and freight audit/payment platforms.
  • Familiarity with global geography
  • Prior experience working with freight forwarders, steamship lines, or 3PL providers.
  • Understanding of ocean and air freight operations, incoterms, and documentation requirements.
