Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Quality System Support

  • Maintain & improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with IATF16949.
  • Conduct internal process & product audits; follow up on corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support the implementation of HSE policies & ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 requirements within quality processes.
  • Prepare & maintain quality documentation, inspection records & audit reports.

2. Customer Quality Management

  • Support customer approval processes including ISIR & PPAP for 4M changes & new projects.
  • Handle customer complaints & manage systems such as Hyundai Q-VOC, SCAS, GM PRR, RSM PQR & similar platforms.
  • Assist in customer system audits & process audits; prepare data, documentation & visit support.
  • Monitor & follow up customer site quality issues, ensuring timely closure.
  • Provide inputs for customer claim reviews & warranty-related matters.

3. New Product & Project Quality

  • Participate in new product or process feasibility reviews.
  • Prepare PPAP documentation, GP12 requirements, control plans & quality checklists.
  • Support capability studies & process readiness assessments for new launches or changes.

4. Supplier Quality Support

  • Conduct supplier audits & quality checks for local & imported parts.
  • Review inspection results & support periodic process audits for supplied components.
  • Track supplier quality issues, drive closure of nonconformities & monitor improvement actions.

5. COPQ, Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze quality data including PPM, COPQ, field claims & defect trends.
  • Prepare regular quality reports for customers such as Hyundai, Kia, GMK, RSM, Hyundai Wia, Hyundai Glovis & Mobis.
  • Support monthly quality meetings with GIK by preparing data packs, insights & follow-up actions.

6. Audit Readiness

  • Support IATF16949 external audits & internal audit programs.
  • Prepare documentation, evidence & follow-up actions to ensure audit compliance.

7. Other Tasks

  • Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.

Keys to Success

Beyond the core responsibilities, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of IATF16949 and automotive customer-specific requirements.
  • Skilled in root-cause analysis, problem solving (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa), and process analysis.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical data.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Approx. 7–10 years of manufacturing quality or automotive quality experience.
  • Experience with PPAP, ISIR, GP12, control plans, capability studies.
  • Qualified internal auditor for IATF16949 preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
