Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design new and optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Lead global projects to implement improvements.
  • Analyse data, develop schedules, and build business cases.
  • Oversee prototyping, testing, and forensic analysis.
  • Create technical documentation and global standards.
  • Provide guidance to Design-for-manufacturing Engineering.
  • Support commercial teams in meeting customer needs.

  • Acquires general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields, and ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of engineering experience in product development.
  • Experience of Manufacturing processes for machining Stainless steel. CNC turning, Milling, metal printing etc.
  • Knowledge of materials and post treatments, i.e. Passivation.
  • High precision, high volume micro component manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel.
    • Experience in Design to contribute to design for Manufacture.
    • High precision, high volume micro component manufacturing experience.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
    • Proficient in CAD (PTC Creo preferred).
    • Knowledge of Six Sigma tools (SPC, DFMEA, FMEA, DOE).
    • Ability to work with global teams and manage priorities.
    • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decisions
    • Hands-on capability in machining, or mechanical assembly
    • Track record of starting up new manufacturing spaces, shops, or toolsets from scratch
    • Comfortable operating in an R&D-heavy environment with evolving requirements

    • Fluent in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings
    • Strong grasp of production quality systems and documentation
    • Comfortable in both design reviews and on the shop floor—able to move seamlessly between them
    • Clear, direct communicator across technical and operational teams
    • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
