Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises the daily work schedules of warehouse and material handling employees involved in performing a combination of: shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking, packing and palletizing finished products and product delivery to and from manufacturing work centers
- Determine space requirements for storage and schedules delivery and distribution of products, parts, and accessories to achieve distribution objectives and meet customer requirements
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports to identify slow-moving and/or surplus stock
- Ensure maintenance of equipment and a safe, clean environment
- Recommend changes in procedures to improve the operating efficiency of the unit
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a group of employees. Responsible for training and development of Warehouse Workers
- Develop a daily build schedule to ensure 100% daily customer support of OE and Service product
- Coordinate the movement of supplier returnable containers to ensure adequate supply and timely delivery. Actively participates in the waste management process
- Completes work with a limited degree of supervision
- Applies knowledge of how the team integrates with other teams to achieve objectives
- Provides solutions to atypical problems based on proven practices or procedures
- Impacts the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of the team; recommends changes to improve efficiency

Requirements and Preferred Skills
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Three (3) year of post-secondary in related field of equivalent experience and five (5) years in a manufacturing automotive industry with exposure to Materials Management Systems
- Basic knowledge and understanding of production, as well as familiarity with high volume manufacturing environment is a must
- Working knowledge of TS16949 and ISO 14001 standards as applicable to the position along with MRP system related experience
- Knowledge of logistics and transportation would be an asset.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
