Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Compliance and Investigations Labor/Employment and Litigation
- Provide daily legal counsel concerning transactional, operational, regulatory, risk and general corporate matters
- Provide legal support on contract drafting, review and negotiation of all types, including master services agreements, supply agreements, purchase orders, marketing agreements, and general service contracts
- Support M&A team on transactional documentation and due diligence
- Leads projects with notable risk and complexity; develops the strategy for project execution
- Impacts the business results of an area or subfunction by setting priorities, allocating resources, and developing policies and plans
- Guided by function policies, resource requirements, budgets and business plan
- Incorporates understanding of business objectives and strategies in recommending functional goals and operating plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate well within all levels of the organization and with external clients
Keys to Success
- Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local contract laws as well as related administrative processes
- Working knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local contract laws as well as related administrative processes
- Working knowledge and understanding of ethics and compliance best practices
- Ability to spot issues, research, investigate, and use independent judgment to solve problems
- Ability to be flexible and work well independently in a fast paced environment while managing multiple, competing priorities and maintaining a strong focus on detail
