What to expect

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Payment Specialist to oversee daily payment transactions, including automatic and manual runs, ensuring accuracy and proper record-keeping. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure payments are processed efficiently and on time.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team, ensuring timely payments while continuously improving processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile daily payment transactions, both automatic runs and wire transfers,
  • Monitor and track payments to stay up-to-date on weekly payment status and promptly address any issues,
  • Assist AP/AR teams in managing payment allocations and resolving any discrepancies in vendor payments,
  • Maintain audit trails and save payment records for compliance,
  • Provide payment status updates to internal and external stakeholders when requested,
  • Monitor bank balances to ensure sufficient funds for payments,
  • Adjust tasks to meet daily, weekly, and monthly payment schedules,
  • Collaborate with banks, Global Treasury, and other teams to effectively manage payment process,
  • Ensure compliance with procedures, SOX controls, and local regulations,
  • Update and create Standard Operating Procedures and supporting documents,
  • Drive improvements in payment processes for efficiency and security.
  • Participate in projects related to payments,
  • Act as a backup for team members.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, Banking, or similar),
  • 1 year of finance experience in an international organization (SSC/BPO),
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems,
  • Very good spoken and written English,
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams,
  • Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset,
  • ‘Can-do’ attitude with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and make decisions within scope of responsibility,
