Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Technical Solution & Delivery - 80%)

 Provides technical solutions in liaison with S4 HANA capabilities and keeps current on technology trends both in the IT industry as a whole and in the SAP space.

    • Manage across all stages of solution implementation, upgrade, and support of the latest SAP systems versions and provide SME, critical thinking and quality assurance to Gates SAP application team working on technical stack that includes S4HANA, PO, GTS, Fiori, SOLMAN, SDI and HCI (HANA Cloud Infrastructure etc.  
    • Act as a liaison between technical team, functional team, and system Integrators to architect efficient and scalable SAP solutions. As needed, Perform hands-on solution design, architecture roadmaps, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and development tasks.
    • Design and deliver new B2B and B2C integration (SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP C4C, SAP Analytical Cloud) with Gates SAP S4HANA systems utilizing SAP OData based synchronous and API based integrations.
    • Improve the performance of Applications by leveraging SAP code pushdown approach and using SAP standard CDS view and AMDP procedures.
    • Roll out the new SAP S4 user experience - FIORI first applications to business and make them mobile enabled.
    • Provide leadership in all aspects (Architect, Governance & Delivery) of the Gates SAP systems solutions including decision making for optimized / follow the sun service organization.
    • Lead projects delivery and operational support while managing team workload, project prioritization and performance with consistent interaction with stakeholders to track benefits realization through KPI reporting
    • Establish Standards, SOPs and Governance processes for SAP Technical services transformation while managing compliance to Controls and Regulatory policies.
    • Manage service delivery for Inhouse and external AMS partners with defined SLAs through effective use of ITSM tools

(Strategic Interaction and Administration- 20%) 

  • Considered SME in technical discipline; mentors and guides internal & external resources in the use of procedures & standards. Develops and drives standard practices within the team; collaborates with other IT groups to support Enterprise applications architecture requirements.
  • Acquires and maintains knowledge of business unit processes/functions relevant to projects and application support assignments, as well as stay current with new technologies and techniques as appropriate.
  • Coordinates activities and interactions with auditing team to ensure procedure integrity and security enforcement.
  • Support complex system integration efforts and develop level of effort (LOE) estimates to meet program timelines/guidelines.
  • Forecast future skills needed to acquire and develop an IT / SAP workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills, and architect competencies.
  • Drives continuous improvement throughout the business and IT organization by promoting best practices, standardized business processes and systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Enterprise Applications.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • 11-15 years of experience working in SAP implementation and support projects in similar roles within a comparably sized or larger multi-national company.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or Business Administration; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ Years' experience in managing SAP technical teams or significant ERP teams for an established IT organization while managing delivery through software development life cycle (SDLC) in Managed Services environment. 
  • Has been in a technical leadership role in 2+ full lifecycle SAP ECC or SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects on premise and on Cloud IaaS hosting at global organizations, including extensive experience in architecting and designing technical solutions in an environment with heavy mix of Iaas, Paas, SaaS and on-prem applications.
  • Ability to be hands-on for all technical aspects and configuration of SAP technologies (Application, Middleware and User Experience), troubleshooting, managing teams and support for data integrations.
  • Experienced in leveraging outsourced partners supporting technical implementation, support, maintenance, and system administration efforts
  • Candidates must be fluent in the English language.
  • Primarily work a standard work week, but ability to work some evenings and weekends to meet project and support requirements.
