What to expect

The SAP SME for Master Data is responsible for ensuring all aspects of Master Data are effectively managed and governed during the Stargate Project (SAP Implemetation) and subsequent post–Go Live activities. The role also supports future SAP initiatives, including rollouts to existing businesses and integration of new acquisitions, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and alignment with global standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Manager of Master Data to ensure accurate and consistent data maintenance across EMEA.  
  • Work closely within the project team to ensure all aspects of Master Data are captured for accurate and consistent data management. 
  • Disseminate best practices and standardization in Master Data Management across the EMEA region. Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish processes, procedures, and defined roles and responsibilities for master data management. 
  • Support the Manager of Master Data Management in establishing partnerships with Divisions, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Customer Services, IS, and other teams as necessary, transforming business issues into solutions and plans to resolve. 
  • Analyze, synthesize, and communicate data and issues into business language, meaningful and insightful messaging, and plans. 
  • Develop reports supporting functions and the business. 
  • Gather voice-of-customer raised by the business in terms of user experience issues, as well as related expectations after issue resolution. 
  • Design guidelines and training material for new reports/functionality/metrics. 
  • Manage processes, plans, and projects assigned by senior management. 
  • Provide updates and develops recommendation to senior management and all stakeholders through frequent communications of findings at regular intervals via reports and meetings. 
  • Conducts data cleaning to optimize system data for better management and quicker access

Requirements and Preferred Skills

Mandatory Requirements:

  • 5–7 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in master data analysis and management.
  • Strong experience with all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience developing impactful presentations and delivering them to large audiences at all organizational levels.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Accounting, Engineering, and Sales/Marketing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and improve master data within an ERP system.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and VBA.
